Hello,

I resetted my PC via Acer Care Center by deleting all data and reinstalling Windows. So far I have updated Windows and Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 Ti drivers; however, I have problems with the rest of the drivers.

I entered my SNID / SN on the Acer support page and already found drivers to install, but I have questions about this:

1) Bios: I have installed R01-A2, on the support page there is R01-A4 as the most recent to choose from, but it supports "Windows10 RS5" s- I have "Windows 21h1" as version - I can still use R01-A4 bios install, or do I have to select R01-A3?

2) Intel- I'm completely lost here- which ones do I need? the following is offered for installation: intel amt driver (what is amt?), irst intel rapid storage driver (what is that?)

3) chipset - there is only one to choose from; version 10.1.11.3; device manager> processors> intel core is version "10.0.19041.546", so this will probably be an upgrade?

4) for lan and audio I only found one suitable from the manufacturer - realtek and killer

5) do i need vga drivers?

generally:

do I have to follow a certain order, e.g. first bios, then chipset, etc?

I am also asking, because I noticed kind of "system lags" while online gaming (world of warcraft) - I didn't have this kind of lags before. So I guess it has something to do with chipset/intel drivers in first place, as Windows and Geforce drivers are up to date?

Attached are screenshots of the equipment / available drivers:

01) my Acer Care Center System info page + available Bios drivers
02) remaining available drivers from Acer support page
03) detected outdated drivers via driver booster 8 tool
03a) detected outdated drivers via driver booster 8 tool
04) windows update > optional drivers available - should I install those?
Thanks very much!

(I'll drop this here to keep you entertained until people with your PC come in and offer assistance.)

Are there any question marks or unknown devices in the Device Manager? Is everything working?

You see, Windows has quite a good driver database already. Often the drivers provided by Acer/Dell/HP/whatnot are old. Therefore I try to download drivers directly from the component/peripheral manufacturer: VGA driver from nvidia (the latest being 471.68), audio from Realtek etc.

If you visit INTEL SITE does it offer you network and other drivers? I've used this site for a quite some time with no problems.

If all is working well, I would not update BIOS unless there is some security problem it is supposed to fix.

    Hello GotBanned,

    thx for your fast answer!

I tried to search for drivers@intel site, but it doesn't work:

In the Device-MGR, there are no question marks, therefore Windows already installed the req. drivers in order to be able to work.

I guess I have to update the Drivers from Acer Support page and/or wait for Acer's support answer (I also wrote a ticket).

This link leads to the previous page on Intel site. Maybe you need to install the "tool" first. My bad. Been a while since I started to use this site. You could also try to install/re-install it as mentioned in your picture.

But if all is working, there are no unknown devices and computer has no weird problems, I think that you are good to go. As for whether you need to update BIOS or not... I'll let someone with the same computer answer that. If it not broken and so on. ^^
