As I mentioned my cursor keeps clicking anything it hover over. I've already checked with microsoft support and I'va already done a PC reset, re-installation of windows, used an external mouse, uninstalled drivers and done a virus scan.
The last advice given was to update my BIOS using Acer Support. Unfortunately Acer support doesn't work? And I don't know what else to do

I'm using an Acer Travelmate 5760
Bios version/date INSYDE V1.18 10/17/2011
Microsoft windows 10 pro
And using winver shows I'm version 21H1

I am not positive, but I seem to remember one of the accessibility features allowing a user to set such that they could select with a hover. If that is set on your system you would have the behavior, and depending on the 'reinstall' they had you do it might have survived. You don't tell us exactly what the results were when you tested with an external mouse. Did it happen there as well as with the touchpad? If you boot from a Windows install flash drive, does it happen in the repair environment?
