Hi, I just realized that my touchscreen is no longer working. I checked in device manager under human interface devices I cannot find the HID compliant touchscreen.  also am not able to pair Bluetooth devices with my laptop. An idea on how to fix these problems please. I have done windows update which did not fix theses problems.

Sometimes a simple system restore will fix the issue..

    Try windows x
click on power shell admin or command prompt admin
    type rstrui
chose an earlier date on which your computer was working fine
    click on next, finish, yes
It will restore your computer to an earlier date
if you get an message - system restore not completed - click on close
It will show you all the icons..
Try and check whether it is working now ..If it is still not working

Try windows x - go to device manager.  On the top - click on view hidden devices.  It might show you the HID Compliant Touch screen.  Right click on it - Update driver.  It it is still not working - Right click on it - Uninstall it and restart the computer.  If you are not able to see the HID Compliant Touch screen after chosing view hidden devices.. then follow the steps given below..

    Go to support.acer.com
    chose your country
type snid or chose your model
    go to drivers
Install the chipset, i/o , card reader drivers and check it..
