K242HQL keeps auto-adjusting after computer wakes up.

My monitor is running off a VGA-to-Thunderbolt adapter from my late 2010 MacBook Pro. When auto-adjusted, the display is too far right and too far up, hiding part of my task bar. I have adjusted the settings manually in the display's menu, but if the computer goes to sleep then wakes up, the display auto-configs and goes right back to where it was before I adjusted it. How do I stop it from doing this?

    Hi @ SnowyAshton

Because it only occurs if the monitor has been switched off and it turns on the monitor, it auto adjusts accordingly to the screen resolution that was set. Please switch off and check what happens.
