My system has an existing "250GB NVMe WDC PC SN720 SDA" SSD alongside a 1TB HDD. I'm starting to get low on storage in the SSD and so wanting to install a second NVMe for games/programs and leave the original one just for Windows/Drivers.
I have done some research including visiting www.mrmemory.co.uk and looking on here (such as this post
https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/620666/helios-300-ph317-53-750a-nvme-m-2-ssd-support) and I think I can install a Samsung 970 EVO. Only thing that is stopping me is that the post on here that I mentioned said yes to the Samsung 970 EVO (but for a slightly different model -750A not -798L) and the mrmemory result states either the 860 EVO, 970 EVO PLUS or 980 PRO (so not the plain 970 EVO). Also my main driver here is more space not better performance (games load quick enough on the existing SSD) and I don't want to install something that runs much hotter than the existing SSD. What should I go for?
Thanks
