Fingerprint now not compatible with Win Swift 3 SF314-59 1165G7

Hi, I am a newbie to the site and Acer products. 
I have a brand new Swift 3 Intel i7 SF314-59 1165G7.  I set up the fingerprint sign in, no problem and it worked fine, then i had  a Win update come along and ever since it will not allow me to use this. In settings it says "  we couldn't find a scanner compatible with Windows hello".   
It does not give me any options to reset or do anything more.  any assistance would be appreciated.

    Hi, I just tried this and it  said -  this is the best driver for this device. There may be better drivers on windows update or the device manufacture website. Any thoughts ?

    I also checked the Acer updates for this driver and I have the latest one installed - 3.7.06. I only brought this laptop new 3 days ago, and the fingerprint scanner worked fine. Now after a win update it is dead. Surely Acer must offer some solution ?

  • Click DETAILS, IDHARDWARE. Then copy and paste the IDHARDWARE here.

    Hi. I use Acer Swift 3 too currently have the exact same issue this person was having (Was so relieved to find someone having the SAME issue) and I see this thread is over and it has not been solved. Even I couldn't find the IDHARDWARE number when I clicked on details (Screenshot Attached). Can someone help fix this problem please?

    Use the pull down menu (currently at Device Description) and change it to Hardware IDs.
