Help with dual display - ACER A514-54G

Problem 1 - I have a monitor attached to my laptop and use display settling to only show my monitor and keep the laptop screen off. The problem is that it won't then go back to extended or duplicate once I apply the foresaid settings. Last time I had to uninstall the display driver and reinstall to get the laptop screen back.

Problem 2 - With my HP before, the moment I remove the cable for monitor it would automatically push the display on my laptop screen. With Acer it remains black. Now since I cant get the extended or duplicate to work I am forced to connect it to a monitor. I want my laptop to remain mobile so I can take it with me when needed.

Does anyone have a permanent solution to this problem? TIA

This seems to be a problem that is unique with your specific device. I am using the Acer Aspire 3 A315-57G and have never faced such a problem. I would suggest that you contact Acer support and take your device for repair. Hope your device is still covered under warranty.
