    Hi Batareika007,

Then it is better to go with thermal paste.

What type of thermal paste did you apply? and what kind of results did you achieve? My triton 500 had a blueish powder (im assuming it was paste at one point) and when replaced with K5-Pro thermal paste, it gave me worse temps than with stock. Can I used regular ol' thermal grizzly or noctua thermal paste? or should i go with really thin thermal pads?

Yes they used thick thermal paste in the vram chips instead of thermal pads starting in the 2019 models and up the nearest similar you can find its the k5 pro but you can use normal thermal paste same as u use on the cpu/gpu kryonaut or similar i wouldnt use thermal pads as they might affect the contact between the heatsink and the diodes for proper heat dissipation good luck :)

Zipo0 what do u mean it gave u worst temps and where exactly because the cpu/gpu temps have nothing to do with the vram chips anyways just wondering  where did you applied the k5 and yes u can use any paste i have seen no issues with anyone who did the same also if u used kryonaut or similar in the cpu/dgpu i would recommend the spread method only a thin layer covering both diodes its enough too much its bad same as less :)
