ACER G245H - No OSD

I've had this monitor for awhile now (going on 10ish years) and it was working great up until a couple of hours ago when I got home and the display was black.
I get no OSD menu but when I toggle from my PC display to my laptop display the screen flashes on for a second and then disappears.

I've updated the video drivers, I've reseated all the cables and replaced them. I've reseated the vid card, i've done the hard reset on the monitor itself. I've tried connecting directly to the power outlet as well as VGA/DVI/HDMI outputs. Same result. No OSD. I'm hoping it's something I've missed thus far but feels like it might be the end of this monitor. Thoughts?

    Hi MatD83,

    Monitor self test,

    1. Power OFF the unit.
    2. Unplug all the cables.
    3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
    4. Turn ON the unit and check.

I've tried this again and no luck. Whenever the power comes on the ACER logo flashes briefly and disappears. I do not get any on screen menu from the monitor.

If the Acer splash screen is showing then there's a good chance the problem isn't in the display. Does the splash screen stay up longer with no video cables connected?

The splash screen comes up for about a second and disappears both with no cables connected and with cables. When it's connected to my pc, whenever I cycle power on, the display shows up for a second and disappears. I've tried 8 different cables and power cords and the monitor reset to no avail. I suspect it could likely be a loose connection i'm stymied as to where. the physical ports themselves all appear fine and don't have any extra play in them.

So the splash screen displays for a shorter time than normal? I believe the monitors do a POST, similar to what computers do, while that splash screen is up. Having it disappear early without going on to the next stage of the boot  seems to point at a failure during POST. :( It might just be time for a new monitor...
