Hi guys,
I am having difficulties in locating the correct M.2 SSD for my laptop. My serial number is NXGNTEK0017352124D7600. There isn't any other model information according to the Acer website. I just need to know if it's the SATA or NVMe that's needed. I have attached a photo (please forgive the dust, it will be cleaned before fitting!)
Any help would be really appreciated.
Cheers,
Paul.

Hi,
Is your model name A315-31? If so, you can use a M.2 SATA SSD in your laptop, please read this link for more information:Aspire 3 A315-31 Memory and HDD upgrade — Acer Community0 -
Thanks Brummy. I took the plunge and ordered a SATA M.2 as going through a few you tube videos, it looked the safest option! Just need to clone the clunky HDD when installed and hopefully, all will be well with the world

It's funny that Acer decided to have the port available but not used it. Was this motherboard an OEM for more higher spec models?0

No problem, I don't understand what you meant by "OEM for more higher specs".0

Was the mother board used for more models that had the SDD already built in to the M.2?0
