    KonKax the first thing that you should do is install CPUz and look under sections “Memory” and “SPD #1 to #4” for the exact specs of your existing RAM. After see if you have either a 8GB or 4GB module of RAM as OEM? If you want to double the OEM memory of whatever you have then match your RAM (buy the exact RAM specs) or and if you want the max and top spec memory for your AN515-45 then buy 2x modules of 16GB DDR4-3200, 1.2V, 260 pin DDR4 SODIMM type memory and install these 2x modules into your AN515-45 laptop, as that will give you the top memory performance for your laptop. Btw, to change your memory modules you have to remove the back cover and replace the memory that way but be careful and do it the way that its done in the captions below:

    What I'm trying to ask is if it's a 1Rx8 or 1Rx16 stick? I'm hesitant to open the laptop by myself though

    @KonKax
    It's 8GB single channel ram (1Rx8) I think but not sure
    To confirm you can check in your system by following steps which are given below -

    Open Settings > System > About and look for the Device Specifications section. You should see a line named "Installed RAM"—this will tell you how much you currently have.

    Thank you for this. I was wondering how I can upgrade my RAM. Regarding this, the centre screw is covered by a "warranty void if seal is broken" sticker. Won't this void the warranty then?
