Your AN515-55 has provisions for 2x M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 which are an "M end key type" M.2 NVMe drives and provision for 1x 2.5 inch SATA3 6GB/sec of either a 5400rpm or a 7200rpm spinner HDD or a 2.5" SSD drive of the same specs. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

The captions below shows the motherboard with the back cover removed and where all drives are situated and how to fit them:

For the 2.5" spinner HDD or if you want to fit an additional 2.5" SSD drive you need this optional SATA/Power cable

FCC CABLE fitted to either a 2.5" spinner HDD (shown below) or you can also fit it to a 2.5" SSD drive.

SSD-1 M.2 drive, note the fixing screw

    SSD-2 M.2

    Would something like this work?

    Or would this be better?

And would it be possible for me to add ram?

The Gigabyte Aorus GP won’t fit as its got the cooling and its too thick, the best M.2 drives IMO are the Samsung NVMe’s so buy them, don’t go for the fancy good looking ones as the cooling doesn’t do anything. I’ve used Samsung SSD 2.5” and M.2 drives for years and they are the best in reliability, performance and components that they use plus, they have their own tuning software and cloning software that are excellent. Also, with all SSD drive enable the TRIM command within windows to further improve performance of all your SSD drives.

With your memory and that your Nitro 5 AN515-55 has the Intel Comet Lake-H CPU your total memory is 32GB at DDR4 2666Mhz or 2933MHz at 4GB/8GB/16GB 260 pin DDR4 SODIMM that is the suitable OEM memory that Acer suggests for your laptop.
