Hi,

I had my computer crash and the support for one of the application I was using suggested to update my drivers, they gave me an intel link, it suggested for the graphics driver I look for a newer driver from acer.

I've gone to Acers driver section and put my computers SIND in and I'm presented with 51 drivers. I'm unsure which one( if any) to update. I don't see a specific graphics driver.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks

    What's your laptop model :)

The graphics drivers are the VGA ones , if we can grab your model can point you in the right direction.

Also in device manager under video adapters there should be the Intel gpu in there, if you double click it what driver version are you on at the moment?

qkila, the easiest way to update all Intel drivers for your laptop and/or desktop is to install the “Intel driver & support assistantas that will scan your system and appropriately show you what you need to install for your system, it’s a simple process without any guess work!

Thank you for the reply :) I already have that. The one driver left that I'm concerned about was the 'graphics driver' it's saying if ACER has one I should go with that, if not then Download the intel one. Screen shot below.

Should I just continue to go with the intel one?( was worried I might have issues if I went for the intel one)

First, what is your laptops model number? Has your laptop got a dedicated graphics card? Like an NVIDIA or AMD graphic card? As with dedicated cards it’s the same as the integrated graphics, Acer does not keep up with the latest drivers and you always have to update from its sources. With that question the answer is “NO” don't worry about that warning as the Intel driver is the latest driver for your integrated graphics that comes from your CPU. Install that latest Intel driver as there should be no problems with that driver, I've done that for years with no problems on many laptops and desktops. .

    Thank you for the reply

    Module number is AN515-54

Does dedicated graphics card mean a different graphics card from what came with my computer? If so, then no.
    My graphic's cards are:
    Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630
    and
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti

Should I be able to go ahead and click the 'install' button in the above previous screen shot?

First and as far as the install of your Intel graphics drivers; yes, that is what I've said above "click on I understand and then >>> press Install" Also, the dedicated graphics (sorry as it’s tech name is “Discrete Graphics”) which is your "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti" and the “Integrated Graphics” is the "Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630" which is part of the CPU. Always install the manufacturers graphics latest drivers as that is the latest driver(s) for your cards.
