White spots on screen

Hi guys,
I bought my Acer Nitro 5 17,3" laptop on Monday, got it on Wednesday, and by Friday I saw a little white spot in the corner of my screen that is visible with a white background. I did some google and I think it's a LCD defect in the manufacturing. The firm that sold me the laptop offered to pay for a fix or to replace it with a 15,3" (not my wish). I am a bit stuck on what to do because Im not for the smaller laptop, but again, I am afraid it can happen again once its fixed if I repair it. Please give me your insights and opinions on what I should do. Thank you!

It looks like a hardware issue.   If you have the store warranty, try to replace it with a 17.3 inch model.  To diagnose the issue  and to find out whether it is a hardware or software issue, follow the steps given below just to narrow down the issue.

Turn off the computer.   Tap f2 while turning on the computer  -  Go to bios.   Stay on the bios.   Check whether you see the defect on the bios.     If  you see the defect on the bios screen then it is a hardware issue.

If your laptop is in warranty you can contact the warranty dept.     Go to the website support.acer.com - chose your country.   On the new page - scroll down -  click on "contact support".  Scroll down.  You can find the phone no to contact the warranty dept.
