I was very happy with my Predator but saw a great price on a 1 Tb NVME SSD and saw all the videos on here on how easy it was so I got one and installed it. It turned out to be the best thing I could have ever done. The data transfer speeds between SSD's onboard is astronomical. I had  moved my game installs for Epic game installer to my USB3 external drives because they were eating up my boot disk. Many of the files were 50 gbs. Now I have them on the new SSD and now the games load at 1 GB per second compared to the old USB3 speed of around 100 MBS. It really is noticeable.
The bigger difference is image backups.  I use Terabyteunlimited to do complete image backups of my Windows 10 drive every time there is a change on my system. The Windows 10 drive is about 48 gbs and with compression the images come out to be about 31 gigs each. Before on the USB3 drive it took about 7-10 minutes to complete. Now using the 1 TB, which I have split into 2 - 500 mb drives, D and Z, it only takes 1 minute 30 seconds at probaly 1 gig per second transfer rate. It's like I just bought a whole new laptop.
I would recommend this as your first upgrade to your new machine. If you have the spare change, get a 2 TB. they are 4 times as much though
