I got a brand new Acer Swift SF314-42. It's been overheating, to the point that the screen shut off, and it started spewing random, choppy noises upon this. It also randomly shuts off. The other night, it completely froze. I couldn't even power it off, nothing worked. I don't think it was very good for the computer, but I didn't know what else to do, so I left it until it died, then charged it and powered it back on. Now there are weird humming noises that are emitting from it.  I think it may be an issue with the fan, sometimes it also gets really loud. Another problem I had was that the screen turned red, then black, and powered off. This happened a couple of times. If anyone has a solution, or has experienced this and may know a cause, please let me know.

It's likely best to go ahead and contact Acer support, root cause of that many issues is likely hardware.

    Hi Teslaosi,

    Try to do power drain,

    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Unplug the charger.
    3. At the bottom there will be a tiny pin hole with battery sign close to it take a pin or paper clip and insert into it hold that button for 20-30 seconds. Then turn ON the unit and check.
