Chromebook Browser switches to https://... automatically

on a unencrypted website (http://...) is a link to a new unencrypted website. Click on it causes chrome to try to go to this link but with https://... That causes notfound errors if there is no TLS connection available at that URL.
How to prevent chrome to behave like that?

    We need to do a chrome reset.. 

    Open chrome
    click on three dots on top right corner
    chose settings 
    scroll down
    click on advanced
    scroll down
    click on reset setting to original defaults 
    You will see reset setting and cancel
    click on reset setting

    Click on "Like" if you find my answer useful 

    Click on "Yes" if it answers your question.
