Monitor not recognised

I had to reinstall graphics drivers on my Dell laptop and now my  laptop won't recognise my Acer Monitor. I have tried reinstalling drivers for the monitor but no luck. Any suggestions?

Take a picture for us showing where the monitor plugs into the Dell and where that cable plugs into the monitor. Usually that type of error is just a cabling issue... When you first turn the monitor on do you get the normal Acer splash screen?

Monitor self test,

1. Power OFF the unit.
2. Unplug all the cables.
3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
4. Turn ON the unit and check.
