Acer KG241 HDMI Monitor drops when I load certain web pages (very reproduceable)

Acer KG241 monitor connected to a Windows 10 Lenovo laptop.  I have connected the monitor to the laptop using an HDMI cable.  It normally works fine, except when I load specific web pages.

If I load certain web pages, the Second monitor goes blank, and then I eventually get a "no Signal" message on the monitor.  If I unplug HDMI, close the web page and plug HDMI back in, I get the connection to the second monitor back.  Here is an example of a website that triggers this problem.  https://www.imdb.com/tv/?ref_=helpms_ih_dw_freedive 

This is NOT a cable problem.  I have tried more than one cable.  Also, the laptop is sitting right next to the monitor, so it's not the problem with lost signal due to a long poor quality cable.  Lastly, this behavior is not consistent with a hardware problem.

Is there a software solution to this problem?

Dang, that site has some nasty convoluted script code. I can see they are doing something with the viewport but not what they are actually doing. I'm guessing they are optimizing the display based on screen resolution and not getting it right on your system. Have you tried a different browser?
