Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55-57Y8 won't play sound

The sound icon is muted, I cannot change the volume in anyway, it states that there is "no speakers or headphones plugged in" despite the fact that I don't use either of those, the troubleshooter keeps telling me that I need to plug in either speakers or headphones, I've restarted, shut down, and rebooted.

The troubleshooter states that there are no other issues aside from having no sound system plugged in.

Can anybody tell me what I should do.

    Hi,
    You could try reinstalling the Audio driver, go to Acer support site and download the Audio driver, then go to Device manager and uninstall the current driver, without rebooting install the downloaded driver.

    Hi cmoney,

    # Try to get the BIOS page.
    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    ​2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit. 
    3. You will be in setup utility page. 
    4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
    5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    7. Your unit will restart by itself.
