Is it safe to use my laptop without battery?

I watched a video today that you can use your laptop without using the battery by disabling microsoft acpi-compliant method battery on your device manager (i have an acer loptop with a built-in battery). Here is the link https://youtu.be/ydPDowEk_bM
I haven't tried it yet because I have some doubt trying this.
My question is, is it safe to use it without using the battery? Since the battery is still connected to the main board, will the battery continue to charge? and also would it affect the main board?

The laptop is still fine when the battery is disconnected, but you will lose data and might damage the HDD or SSD if the charger is accidentally disconnected.
Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Not recommended. Why do you want to do this?
