Hey,

I am trying to use USB hub type C for an extra external monitor.
I can see that the USB hub is working as I can connect my keyboard/mouse via the USB hub, but as soon as I plug the HDMI cable for the monitor - I receive USB not recognized error.

I tried to troubleshoot it by changing the power options, USB settings option but nothing works.

Does anyone have this issue before?

Thanks,

Nitro 5 line does not suport video out over USB, so you will not be able to run external monitor natively, only with the dedicated HDMI on the laptop or display link adaptor, which is not recommeded quality wise.

@batmalin, so does that mean even with USB 3.0 hub - it wouldn't be able to output display?

If I wanna have multiple external monitor - do you have any recommendation on what I should do/use?

Recently, I tried different type C-hub for my Acer Swift SF514 53T to have an external monitor.   Failed and was also told it cannot be done.  but I bought Vention type C-Hub and it works.  Hurrah.   Give it a try.    no guarantee.

Only if the hub has display link adapter build in.

It looks like this usb3,0 to Hdmi Video Graphic adapter might work.  See the description below.

Check the specs if it has as a gpu in it, otherwise it will not work
