Hi Guys!
My Nitro 5 AN515-52 was working well until a random Windows Update seems to have 'semi-broken' the USB 3.0 Ports
Windows installs and recognises the device at first (Eg: Kingston Data Traveller) but it will not show up in This PC or Disk Management or in any other software as an accessible device.
My mouse and keyboard work fine and I can even use Steelseries software to configure the mouse.
USB charging works.

I have tried:
Reinstalling all USB ports from Device Manager.
Installing the most recent Windows Updates.
Installing all intel software and Acer software.
Acer Care Centre says my machine is fully updated.

When I try to install the Intel Chipset Driver from Acer I get the message "You already have a newer version of Driver Setup Utility Installed. To install this version uninstall the newer version first"

Version Acer offers: Chipset driver Date: 2018/04/13 Version:10.1.17541.8066 Vendor: Intel

I'm a little hesitant to do this but I don't see any choice. I've already done some fairly major windows updates over the last 2 months and nothing has installed / reinstalled USB driver support for USB 3.0.

I really can't uninstall Windows as I have too many filters and things (Adobe CC) to reinstall. But I could try a repair...

Grateful in advance for any suggestions!

Thanks!

    Hi 83Danziga,

    # Try to get the BIOS page.
    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
    3. You will be in setup utility page.
    4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
    5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    7. Your unit will restart by itself.

Check this T/S and post the result.

    83Danziga,

Have you tried to restore the Windows from the restore point previous the issue?
