I've got an Acer Swift 3 laptop SF314-52G. It has a Intel UHD 620 graphics built in, which as per Intel's website supports output of 4K@60hz over HDMI. However when I connect an HDMI 2.0 cable to my smart TV (plugging into the HDMI 2.0 input and enabling it in the TV settings) I am only able to get a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 @ 30hz, but not at 60hz. Why can't I be able to output 4K @ 60Hz?

I even tried to create a custom resolution of 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz using the Intel Graphics Control Panel application, but I received an error message "The custom resolution exceeds the maximum bandwidth capacity." So no luck there.

If anyone knows why I'm not able to get 60Hz or knows if there's a way to achieve it please drop me a line, would really appreciate it.

Cheers!

Specs say HDMI® port up to 4096 x 2304: 24 Hz, so 30Hz at 4K seems about right. You are also likely using the MX150 instead of the HD 620, but doesn't make any difference here.
