We got this laptop from amazon. Fast, nice hd and backlit keyboard
....but the sound isn't very loud when we use it for zoom meetings....we have to use external speakers which can create ECHO..
Doesn't Realtek have software anymore to adjust eq etc....its just generic Windows 10 driver software installed..

    Hi,
Go to Sounds(right click speaker icon in Taskbar), click Playback tab and highlight Speakers, select Properties and move to Custom tab, uncheck the box for Limited Output.

Should have realtek's audio console installed. Search 'realtek' in Start  menu to see what pops up.

There are Realtek audio driver issues with a515-54 (ALC255 sound card) in Windows10 21H1, low speaker volume is one of them. When you update with KB5003637 (June 8 CU) you will find a drastic improvement in sound volume. Groove music player has also an equalizer in the settings that will let you boost the sound a bit. Also Realtek drivers bypass the Windows10 sound app, to get Windows to control your sound (far superior) use Bluetooth speakers or headset instead of an analog headset (cable+jack) that only works with Realtek. You should have Realtek drivers installed for your model, download from Acer support.
