My setup:
Gigabyte RTX 3080 VISION - DisplayPort 1.4
Acer VG272UV - 2560x1440 (1440p) @170Hz - DisplayPort 1.4 (?)
JSAUX 8K DisplayPort Cable 2M DP 1.4 Cable - (8K DisplayPort cable: 8K DisplayPort 1.4 cable supports transfer speeds of up to 32.4Gbps bandwidth, refresh rate up to 8K @ 60Hz, 5K @ 60Hz, 4K @ 144Hz, 4K @ 60Hz, 2K @ 240Hz, 2K @ 165Hz and HDCP 2.2, HDCP 1.4, HDR) JSAUX 8K DisplayPort Cable 2M DP 1.4 Cable DP to DP: Amazon.de: Computers & Accessories
And GPU-Z showing on Advanced tab -> Monitor Section -> Link Rate (current) and Link Rate (MAX) both 5.4 Gbps.
This correlates to DP 1.2, and not the HBR3 mode available on DP 1.3 and above.
So, the question is – VG272UV is a REAL 1.4 DP or it is a fraud?

Specs I find on your model say the maximum resolution is (WQHD)2560 x 1440@170 Hz. Are you not able to get that?
