hey I have a g3-710 and i have just upgraded the ram to dd4 16gb at 3200  I load windows look at windows performace and the speed of the ram is only 2133 which was the speed of my old ram so I thought I need to change it in bios but when I had the computer like 5-6 years ago i set up a password on the bios and now i cant remember it :sleepy: can I just take out the cmos bat wait a hr or so and then factory reset ???? .

The ram runs at the speed the chipset supports, not the speed the ram is rated for. So, if your chipset supports 2133MHz, it will run at 2133MHz even when you put in ram rated at a higher speed. Also a lot of ram these days says it's rated at 3200MHz, but the fine print says only when in XMP overclock mode, and your motherboard doesn't support XMP overclocking.
Your G3-710 supports 2400MHz ram though, so my guess is the memory you bought is 2133MHz memory that supports XMP overclocking at 3200MHz, so it will run at 2133MHz since that's the fastest it goes without XMP. Better to return it and buy some real 2400MHz memory and use that.
