Upgrading my Orion 5000 PO5-615

Hello everyone,
i have an Orion 5000, PO5-615s, SN.: DG.E1YEV.004 - its only downside are its small storages (two ssd‘s…), which I want to upgrade with an extra HDD. I want to use that to record gameplay, so I want a harddrive with 7.200 upm. I‘m not the most tech savvy, so opening it up and doing a lot of stuff in there does frighten me a bit… I have searched quite a bit already and have two questions:
1. can someone confirm if my model does have the „easy hdd swap“ for 2.5 inch modells like written here:
 https://objects.icecat.biz/objects/mmo_87900784_1612359408_6867_10833.pdf
if so, what do I have to take into account if I‘m using this method? Can I insert any ssd for example in there? Any hybrid? Are all the cables you need already part of the system,…? I can‘t look into the system myself atm, I‘m not at home and won‘t be for quite some time, but even if I was at home, there are a lot of questions I have as you can see :anguished:
2. if number 1 is not an option: is it easy to install an extra hdd in there? I‘ve never done that before, and I would like to use the second ssd as a game storage, the first for windows and programms, so I don‘t want to exchange them, really only upgrade my rig.
Also, as before, what cables do I need to buy because they are missing in my rig?
Thank you all cery much, I‘m really happy with my lovely beast/monster/predator (just some of the names I gave it ;-) ) and only want to optimise some stuff :-)

    Hi Stephan517,

The Orion 5000 series allows up to 64GB of dual-channel DDR4-2666 MHz memory and supports Intel Optane Memory. On the storage front, users are able to select up to a 3TB 3.5-inch HDD or up to a 512 GB PCIe NVMe based M. 2 SSD for plenty of mass and fast storage options.

Well, I'm sure you know that there are two HDD mounting slots in the drive cage. There should be two black plastic drive holders in there. That is the appropriate place to put drives that will stay in the system and you can go as large as you want within the 3.5" form factor (I think you can go as large as 18TB right now). If you want to put a SSD in instead (and 8TB is the current max AFAIK) use a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter. I believe you have another mount in the RGB control box just under the ODD that is suitable for a 2.5" drive as shown here:

Ok, so just to clarify: the one below the odd is connected to a tegular SATA-Port (SATA 3?) and I can use any drive there? Like an ssd?
and where do you get these pictures from? I only found the one I posted, or ist that one from that? Thanks everyone for the answers :-)

Yes, you have it right. You want the optical drive on SATA 4, since it uses the slowest data transfer rate.
