My Aspire E5-574 won't turn on

Hi there, I have an Aspire 15 E5 574 (N15Q1) laptop that won't turn on. When I press the power button, the computer seems to be starting for about half a second (and the monitor begins to light up) and then it stops and nothing happens. This happens both when it's plugged in and when it's not. When it's plugged in, the blue light is on at the front, and it still powers my external devices when they're hooked up to USB. However, the computer won't actually turn on.

I've tried resetting the battery using the pinhole on the back (held it down for about 20 seconds) but nothing happened.

Does this sound like a battery issue, or possibly something else?

The charger must be unplugged when doing the pinhole reset. Then plugged back in. Then wait for the battery charge LED to turn from steady orange to steady blue before trying to turn it on again.
