No, the CPU is soldered into the motherboard so you can't upgrade it.

As AnhEZ28 said "No, the CPU is soldered into the motherboard" and you can't upgrade it as it takes allot of expertise e.g. a soldering template to solder ball the new CPU and very specialist tools like a microscope and all the specialist soldering tools to change these CPU's.

The easiest way you can upgrade is to change the motherboard with the highest spec Acer ES1-411 that came with the this motherboard the  "MAINBOARD UMA (2.16G) N3540 W/CARD READER, MIC, RTC BATTERY - Acer part#: NB.MRU11.002" that has the Intel "Pentium processor N3540" that its CPU is a 4 cores, 4 threads, 2.167 to 2.667 GHz turbo, 2MB L2 cache and 7.5W TPD CPU. As your Celeron processor N2940 with 4 core, 4 threads, 1.833 to 2.25 GHz turbo, 2MB L2 cache and 7.5W TPD with the motherboard swap won't give you much more performance alone.

The best and cheapest way to upgrade your ES1-411-C8FA laptop is to change the 2.5" 5400 rpm spinner HDD (that came OEM with either a 320GB or 500GB or a 1TB drive) to a 2.5" SSD, SATA-3 at 6GB/sec drive and also max out your Acer ES1-411-C8FA RAM out to its max of 8GB at 1x 8GB into its 1x slot with 1x 8GB module of DDR3L-1600MHz memory, which will give you a substantial increase in performance. You can upgrade the motherboard as that will also give you more performance but, are all these upgrades worth it or will it be better for you to buy a new laptop? That choice is up to you. Good luck and hope this helps you out
