Hi all. I brought an ACER Swift 3 SF314-57-58DF Laptop about a month ago, and I want to add a 1TB 2.5" HDD into it (it already has 512G SDD). I brought a HDD upgrade kit (I live in Australia), and opened up the laptop, but am not even sure where the HDD would go. If anyone else has done this upgrade, can they please point me in the right direction? (I've attached a picture of what I see when I open up the laptop). Thanks in advance

@keroppikeroppi007 I also have the SF314-57. I believe it only has 1 SSD storage slot. The SSD is on the bottom right in your photo. You can upgrade the SSD to 2TB but it's not going to fit a HDD into that space.0

Yes, the SF314-57 doesn't have provisions inside for a second drive, just the one M.2 drive.

Yes you can use the 1TB HDD as an external backup drive. You just need a USB caddy for it which is pretty inexpensive. And you'll probably want a USB caddy for the SSD drive so you can image your existing internal 512Gb onto the new 2TB SSD before you install it.1

Thanks for answering my question - I guess I'll just have to get a 2TB SSD and have the current drive as an external one0
