Low FPS on Acer Nitro 5 with 100% CPU usage and very less GPU usage

I bought an Acer Nitro 5 with i5 10th Gen CPU, 1650 Ti 4GB GPU, 8GB RAM, and 512 SSD recently. When I play games like Valorant on minimal settings, I only get about 50-60 FPS. This laptop has a 144Hz refresh rate. Also, while playing on the GTAV servers through FiveM, I only get 20-30 FPS also on absolute minimal settings. I know for a fact that I should get better FPS than this because I get almost 100% CPU usage every time and the GPU is on about 10-25%. I think it's not using the dedicated GPU when gaming. I have the latest and updated Windows as well as NVIDIA drivers. What am I doing wrong?

If you open task manager in the background while you play a game, or better play in background mode you should be able to tell what GPU its using by looking in the performance tab

@Leostat I found that it uses the dedicated GPU but still the CPU usage is 100% and the frame rate is still very less.

Is there anything else eating the CPU use in the background?

No, most of the time, it's just the game I am playing that's running and sometimes it's Discord as well. I have disabled all the unnecessary things that's running in the background.

You should open the nvidia configuration pannel, use advance 3d settings, and in the 3D settings tab make sure that you game use the high performance GPU. You can do this manualy or if you don't use you computer on battery just make it that the high performance nvidia card is selected as global setting.
Also make sure that the nitrosense setting is on high power mode during gaming as it make a big difference in cpu usage.
