How to set up multiple additional displays on Acer Aspire V A515-44-R41B)

I'm attempting to set up more than one display/monitor on my new Acer Aspire V (model # A515-44-R41B), however, after purchasing a USB to dual HDMI adapter (basically an HDMI splitter through the USB type-c port on the laptop) and attempting to plug in both new LG monitors, the laptop wasn't detecting either one. When plugged into the HDMI port on the laptop, one screen is supported, however, I'm trying to set both of them up so I can extend the display to 3 displays (the laptop screen and the two monitors). Does anyone else have this issue or can anyone help resolve this? I already tried updating the Windows 10 driver for the adapter, but no luck.

Appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks everyone!
