Hi there,
I bought a TM p214-52 (bios InsydeH20 rev 5.0) and I'm trying to install/clone my arch linux partition on it. The problem is any utility external to windows doesn't detect the drive (nvme ssd). I searched a lot for solutions and came to the conclusion I need to switch sata mode from Optane RST to AHCI in order for the drive to be visible in a linux live installation.
I managed to find the combination to access the advanced bios option (booting while pressing fn+tab, then releasing and spamming f2).
In the advanced tab -> PCH-Configuration -> SATA and RST Configuration -> SATA Mode Selection, I found the option to switch from "Intel RST Premium With Intel Optane System Acceleration" to "AHCI", pressed F10 to save and exit, but when I reboot the option resets itself. When I access the BIOS again or windows, Intel RST Optane is still active. What can I do to switch to AHCI and finally make use from this laptop for working?
Couple of additional things I did:
- enabled/disabled secure boot/fast boot
- booted windows 10 in safe mode
- installed some AHCI drivers from the acer product page
None of them worked.
