Hi there,
I have just completed rebuilding my Acer Aspire GX-781 desktop PC. I bought it from eBay with a missing power supply, RAM, HDD and Graphics Card, I have since replaced all of these components and when I turn on the PC I have a blank screen on my monitor and 1 short beep. The Hard drive has nothing on it currently because it has been freshly formatted and I haven’t yet installed Windows. The RAM I installed was PC21300 2666mhz DDR4 RAM, I bought this from CEX but was told it was brand new and came sealed in it’s original packaging. It’s Corsair vengeance RAM.

Any help appreciated.

    Hi @Easwar

a slight update and i’m embarressed to say, the PC has been working all this time, after numerous times of me turning it on and off and taking it apart and re-assembling it, i’ve discovered that it was either my old graphics card that I used to test it or my PC monitor, I used an HDMI cable and plugged the PC into the TV downstairs and it works fine with no issues!

I’m really sorry to waste your time and I feel like a right plum now lol

Many thanks for your help though!

    Hi GarethS1994,

    # Power drain,

    1.Unplug the AC power adapter.
    2. Shutdown the unit.
    3. Press and hold the power button for 20-30 seconds. Then try to turn on the unit and check.
Check this T/S and post the result.
