Blue line down middle of screen

I've had this KC242Y for about two weeks and as I was playing today this line appeared and hasn't gone away. 
I've checked the HDMI and power cables, left it turned off for a while, but it persists even with no input from my PC.

    You can try to contact Acer for warranty first if they can assist for that problem

    Does the line appear during the splash screen display when you first turn the monitor on? If so it's as the others have suggested, a hardware issue that will require a swap or repair.
