I have a friends tablet im trying to fix for their daughter. Its a Acer Iconia One10 B3-A40, I have installed the newest possible software update that i could find on Acers website.

That seems to be fine, the issue i am having is that when trying to download updates for apps, such as youtube, via google play store, it starts to download and then stops.
it shows a error saying that their is not enough storage space to download updates. however there is plenty of space on both inbuilt storage as well as a formatted SD card.
I have made sure that settings are set so that downloads for updates are allowed et. Has anyone any idea what the issue could be and a potential fix?

details of tablet are as follows.
Model: B3-A40
Android version: 7.0
Android security patch level: August 5th 2018
Kernel version: 4.4.22
Image P/N: FM.NVZA0.00R

Internal memory: 2.97GB used of 10.07GB
SD card memory: 1.74GB used of 119.0GB

Try to do a reset on the tablet and then try to install the updates.

Some of the newer apps don't work with older versions of the Android OS. In those cases there's no real fix, since there is no newer OS to install...
