Acer Aspire V3 551g bios UEFI/HDD firmware upgrades

Hello,

I want to apply the following upgrades to the following system V3-551G-8454 Notebook AMD A-Series A8-4500M(1.90GHz). Win 8 64.

1. BIOS Acer BIOS-UEFI for Windows 8 (Not for Upgrades) 2.11 3.3 MB

2013/03/11

2. Firmware WD This update improves hard disk performance. 9545 174.9 KB

Would you be so kind confirming if these updates at http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers (Aspire V3-551g selection screen) are compatible with the V3-551G-8454 Notebook AMD A-Series A8-4500M(1.90GHz). Win 8 64. system.

If so, would you please provide me with a full detailed guide on how and/or using which tools can I successfully apply these updates.

Iam also trying to do the same. Now there is 2.11 version for upgraded V-3551G as well but does not work. My bios version is 1.07 and it says " please update same type of bios(v1.x)". But i downloaded it from acer wesite only.

My system is very slow and clockspeed is 1.9 only and not as promised as 2.7 turbo.

Kindly provide with a solution.

Before you come and ask for your turbocore speed, you should first read how turbocore actually works. Basically your base speed is 1,9ghZ although when it's needed your processor automatically overclocks to the promised 2,7ghZ. The turbo core starting is based on cpu temperature and used cores. No bios update will help you in this case. Your processor is functioning just as its intended to be.
