The battery decreases by 1% /minute, my brightness set to lowest, battery on power saver mode.

The battery percentage decreases by 1% every minute, I'm not doing any heavy tasks. I only use my laptop for web browsing, encoding at watching videos online. I set my brightest to the lowest, my AC tab set on "Highest-Performance" while the battery tab is set on "Power Saver". What can I do in order for my Acer Nitro 5 laptop to last at the very least 2 hours?

do you have any AV installed? That can be the main one which eats battery, second if you goto start -> battery does it suggest whats sucking the battery?

And is this a re install or the acer base image?

    Hi Technoob13,

    # Try to update the battery driver

    1. Hold windows key and hit letter X.
    2. Choose the device manager option.
    3. Go with the option battery.
    4. Under the title battery.
Update Battery Drivers in Windows EASILY - Driver Easy
    5. Right click on that option ----> Update all driver under the title battery.
    6. Choose "search automatically".

Check this T/S and post the result.

One way to make your laptop last more is also to not use the Dedicated GPU while on battery and just use the integrated one, I don't think you've a battery driver issue.
Also, try to play with power management options from the control panel -> Search for battery -> Change battery options -> Pick the power save combination -> Click on the light blue text "edit options combination" or something like that -> Click  on another light blue text "Change advanced power options" -> Then play from here with the processor options, here you can limit it to gain some time on battery.

    You nailed it there!

When moving from power to battery, restart laptop instead of waking from hibernate. This will reset the display adapters used by programs.

I am specific about this cos I notice on my laptop that my browser and other apps use dedicated GPU when on power and moving to battery (both direct move as well as wake up from hibernate) they still used the dedicated GPU using about 10,000-15,000 mW. But when i restart laptop when off power it reduces power consumption to as low as 4,000 mW averaging at about 6,000 mW (here the apps use integrated GPU instead).

Also, I set apps like browser and such to use internal GPU only.
