Im bad at explaining things, but you know how when you record a video on your phone vertically, and watch it horizontally you see those black lines and its kind of zoomed out. Yeah my Acer Nitro 5 is zoomed out for some reason and i see those black lines on right and left side. about 2.5 inches on each side. its really annoying and i have no idea what the problem is. It just logged on one day and it was like this, but i thought if i restarted it a few times it would work normally. Its been about a week and it hasnt changed i dont know what to do.

Right click on the Windows Desktop and choose Display Settings. In Display Settings what does it show for the screen resolution? What it should be is dependent on your laptop model. There have been a bunch of different Nitro 5s over the years, it should be something like AN5xx-xxx-xxxx. I'm guessing your screen is something like 1920x1080 and the display is set lower and in the wrong aspect ratio, like 1024x768...
