Hey, when trying to turn my acer aspire 515-51 on the blue LED will show the backlight for the keyboard will flash and it will turn off about 5 seconds after with nothing being displayed on the monitor. after disconnecting the battery and trying it will wall power only it will do exactly the same thing. I have tried draining the battery etc and am stumped on what to do next, if anyone has a solution or some ideas that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

With a multimeter, the open circuit voltage of the charger should be about 19vdc between the plug's center contact and outer ring.   Jack E/NJ

    Hi hdbug,

    # Try to get the BIOS page.
    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
    3. You will be in setup utility page.
    4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
    5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    7. Your unit will restart by itself.

Check this T/S and post the result.
