My Acer Swift SF314-52-52V8 Won’t Turn On

Hello, my laptop will not turn on. The backlight in the keyboard is not turning on and neither is the screen. The battery light turns orange when it is plugged in and the light bulb light is blue. I have turned it on and plugged it into a monitor to be sure it is not the screen and it confirmed it is not the screen. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Truble1020,

As egydiocoelho said try with the battery reset. And also try with below steps,

    # Try to get the BIOS page.
    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
    3. You will be in setup utility page.
    4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
    5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    7. Your unit will restart by itself.

Check this T/S and post the result.

Hey Guys, thanks so much for the response.

I have tried the reset pinhole method and it does not work. The only way I can get the computer off is by resetting the pinhole. Pressing and holding the power button does not work.  I will try to get the BIOS screen now.

Just tried it and the bios screen will not pop up. The battery light is now not turning on when plugged in.

    Hi Truble1020,

Is your unit charged enough to boot the screen.

    Hi Truble1020,

It looks like hardware issue. Contact acer tech support,

    Or

Book the unit for repair service,

  • Connect a device, with a USB lamp for example, so that the battery is completely discharged:
    Ver a imagem de origem
Then, let the battery charge to 100% and try turning on the notebook.

    Hi Truble1020,

As egydiocoelho said discharge the battery power and then again charge the unit and try to turn ON.
