Hi everyone. So recently I updated my PC with an windows update. It got updated. And when running it after the update, during the bootloader there was a battery issue and my laptop turned off, When I turned it back on, I got the black screen. Not even my acer logo.

So I researched and did the steps to follow for recovering Phoenix boot.
1)Got the .exe file from the official acer website.
2)Extracted using universal extractor. 'Got only the .fd files.
3)NO .wph FILES WERE FOUND AFTER EXTRACTION.
4)Ran phoenix tool and it said the BIOS was insyder.
5)Downloaded wincrisis 1.0.0.4. Copied the Makeboot and PHLASH.exe to a usb port along with the .fd files found in the extractor.
6) There was NO BIOS .wph file found in the crisis as well.
7)Booted my laptop into flash mode and tried flashing.
8)Nothing happened.
9)Copied the .fd files alone because for Insyde this was the solution given.
10)Still nothing happened.

I'm attaching screen shots below. Please help.  I can't locate the bios.wph file. I need my laptop for work.
Extra information:
I'm using a dual boot PC with GRUB bootloader.
Dual booted using UEFI mode.

(Files found in wincrisis.1.0.0.4

(Files found after extracting Acer BIOS using uniersal extractor)

(Phoenix output when selecting ZAA2_multi.fd)

The  filename is ZAAA_xxx.FD where XXX is the BIOS version number from the ACER site. The usual procedure is to unzip the archive and run the executable on a different machine.  Leave the error message open, the use FileExplore to search the C : \ users directory for a folder with an H20*.* filename. The binary should be in this folder. The binary is then copied to the root directory of an empty FAT32 formatted stick with an activity LED. Press and hold FN+ESC . Then turn the machine on. If the BIOS can read the stick, its LED will start flashing and you can let go of the keys. After about 5 mins or less the machine will automatically shut off if successful. If it fails, try another USB port and renaming the file to the alternate name ZAAA.FD only. Jack E/NJ

But I don't understand this part.

Leave the error message open, the use FileExplore to search the C : \ users directory for a folder with an H20*.* filename

    Please help.

The binaries are the FD files You can rename them. What machine are you running this on? Jack E/NJ

I'm running this on Windows 10.
I renamed the binary files to ZAAA.fd as you said but still my laptop isn't flashing the BIOS.
    Is the bios.wph file needed?

Also there are 3 binary files. Should I try them together or one by one?

    >>>I'm running this on Windows 10. >>>

That's not what I meant. What laptop or desktop brand model number are you trying to unzip & run the download BIOS zip file?

The laptop in which the BIOS is corrupted is a

    Acer Aspire F5-573g.

I got the BIOS zip from the acer official website. I downloaded the 1.27 version of the BIOS. https://www.acer.com/ac/en/IN/content/support-product/6739?b=1

The laptop which I'm using now to download zip is HP Elite notebook 745 G6 notebook.

OK. One by one. Only one file at a time can be on the empty FAT32 USB stick.

    Hi msf_sujith,

    # Try to get the BIOS page.
    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
    3. You will be in setup utility page.
    4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
    5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    7. Your unit will restart by itself.

Check this T/S and post the result.
