No sound in Swift SF514-54T

Hi
I have owned an Acer Swift SF514-54T for about 7 months now (purchased Aug 2020) and running on Windows 10. 
All of a sudden, the audio has stopped working. I am not sure if this is the result of a recent update although in the last couple of weeks there were several requests for a system restart following updates. 
I have searched other threads and questions on this issue, and tried to alter settings and update drivers (Synaptics) but to no avail. Any assistance on this will be greatly appreciated.

  • the same problem occurs when connecting a headset? Have you tried using troubleshooting?
