OPTANE memory recognition problem Aspire A515-51.

I have this problem with my laptop.

The issue is the following, one day the hard drive stopped recognizing itself completely, I tried several things but in the end I had to change it. Here the crux of the matter, I did not disable the Optane memory to make that change, and consequently, when I found out, it does not appear neither in the disk manager, nor the cmd, nor in the BIOS.

In fact, where is the SATA manager, this as RTS with Optane, but if I'm not mistaken it should go AHCI, I'm not sure.

I have an Acer Aspire A515-51.

I appreciate if someone can help me.

You must find out if an optane memory card is actually installed in the mainboard's m.2 socket. It's really no longer too useful and should removed. Yes, it's best to change the SATA mode to AHCI after removing the optane card or if one is not present. Then connect the new HDD and  reinstall Windows  using a USB pendrive made with Microsoft's media creation tool.
