Hello,

I want to connect my secondary display (ViewSonic) to my Acer Nitro laptop. The problem is, nothing is working, my laptop doesn't detect the other display, on my second monitor it says 'no signal' no matter what kind of cable I use. The problem is not coming from the cable since I bought a brand new cable and the second monitor is working and is detected when plugging on my dad's computer... So I really don't know anymore what to do, I updated my graphics card, started, re-plugged everything countless times. Does anyone have an idea about what is happening ?

I suppose you know how to extend display to this new monitor in Win 10 Display Settings.

Yes I do, I tried that but the second display is not detected by Win10.... And my second display says 'no signal' despite the fact that it is connected via HDMI to my laptop...

So, it is not Win 10 but your PC's graphics card manufacturer's software to control the display settings. For my PC, it is Intel Graphics Control Panel. Go check it out.

At least you  run graphics card manufacturer's program.
There should be something about Display Settings.
See if you can extend to second monitor from that program.
