ACTab1021 not supported by Acer

I bought an Acer tablet the other day. It's a ACTAB1021, when I came to register it I discovered Acer dont support it, they make it for major retail outlets in the UK but support is up to them. I haven't had any problems, but I feel short changed. Not all Acer products are equal it seems, I shall avoid buying into this brand again.

So if you buying Acer, check it out first, because if you buy from Currys, Argos etc, you might not be getting what you expect.

Yup, the same thing is true of some systems built for Walmart in the US. They take an Acer design and have someone else manufacture them for the retailer, so Acer doesn't provide support, the retailer has to do that.

It feels like a bit of scam, downgrading support from the manufacturer to indifferent retailers, either way Acer & Curry's are off my preference list for the future. :/
