Helios 300 ph315-52 constant bsod

I've been gettings bsods 24/7 on my Helios 300. Literally. Every day.

Already did the following:

  • Did a two-hour memtest86 already (idk it ran hot so i stopped at two hours), tests don't show any errors.
  • Already did reformat, stress-tested on games before updating other drivers other than graphics and directx (still crashes)
  • sfc /scannow, dism /onlinecheckupwhatever, 
  • tried many throttlestop configs: undervolted at -1.25 (base undervolt), -140.6, -1.15 to -1.10, disable/enable turbo, speedshift 0-20, 
  • updated drivers and whatnot
  • downgraded bios (Covini or Insyde idk)  from 1.12 - 1.08 (nothing bad happened btw), stresstested or something before going back again to 1.12 since nothing worked
  • uninstalled antivirus software
  • tried to look for ssd and hdd firmware updates since that solved some fellow helios 300 users bsod problems, but nothing was available (Seagate barracuda hdd, wd sn720 ssd)
  • some youtube vid on bcdedit which did not work for me (i think it's outdated since my windows version is already at 20h2)
  • yeah also already updated to latest updates on everything in windows updates

Sometimes, I can play genshin impact/valorant with edge, photoshop and some random **** in the background. Last time I also was able to use the browser with no problem while horizon zero dawn was open. Now, bsod happens randomly and continuously once my laptop coughs them up for no reason. These bsods happen most of the time while playing games. However, even when I'm just casually browsing with only edge and adobe acrobat open, bsods can also occur.

I always get the stopcodes critical_process_died, kernel data inpage error, etc.

some ntoskrnl.exe error showed up in bluescreenview but i messed up since I deleted temp folder, though I still have my last minidump 3 days ago.

The warranty already expired (1 year). As much as I want to clean the fans, I am too afraid to open it up since it seems too complicated to remove and return the fan back (some tapes involved)

As much as I want to go to the nearest acer repair center, the current lockdown in our country has been **** and covid is all over the place. Also, I can't afford the time I will lose to bringing my laptop to a service center since I heard it takes long for them to finish repair.

  • I suggest you start by disabling fastboot in the bios and fast startup in the power options. If the problem still occurs, it could be a problem related to drivers or hardware. Start with the basics:
    a) turn off the computer, disconnect the power adapter, press the power button for thirty seconds and leave the laptop off for thirty minutes. Check if the problem occurs. If it does, try the next step:
    b) disassemble the laptop:
    Then, with an anti-static wristband attached to your body, disconnect all hardware (rams, ssd, wlan, hdd, etc.) and test each hardware individually, to see what hardware is causing the problems.
