How to install any linux distro on acer aspire 3 a315-56

Hi all

a couple of days ago I bought a new Acer aspire 3 a315-56 (with SSD) and I want to install Linux on it

After changing SATA mode to AHCI, I was able to run the installer from my USB drive but the installer can't see any disks, it only detects the USB drive itself

what I tried is:

1.  created supervisor password for bios
2.  enabled f12 boot
3.  disabled fast boot
4.  changed SATA mode from "optaine without raid" to "AHCI"

my BIOS version is v1.17

I don't care if windows won't boot at all, I need to have a Linux distro on it, but if it's possible to have both of them together this would be great



please help me fix this issue.

The only way you can see your internal storage is if you put your laptop to sleep.

Note: updating the firmware will not fix your issue, even as of version 1.26 the problem is still present.
