E5-575G will not power on, blinking orange light

Hello, I am hoping you can help me diagnose my laptop.

It will not turn on, the orange power link blinks about once a second.
When the power button is pressed the backlight for the screen and keyboard turns on but nothing else.
I can then push the power button and everything immediately goes black.

I tried holding the battery button on the bottom with a paperclip and nothing happened.

I took the battery out and with on the AC adapter the laptop turns on and functions normally.
I thought this meant a bad battery so I bought a new one from LBTECH on amazon. AS16B8J

New battery has the same problem as the original battery.

So for now I just took the battery out and use it plugged in but I would like the battery to work again.

Any thoughts? Thank you for your help.

Do I need to have the battery installed to see the driver? Under batteries All I see are two options. Microsoft AC adapter and Microsoft ACPI compliant control method battery.

What background services are you talking about?

yes when you uninstall the drivers and restart the computer, it will reinstall automatically.

Try to stop the unwanted services at the background in msconfig. hide all MS services before you do it.

    What is Msconfig

    Hi CurrentRedirect

    # Power drain,

    1)Unplug the AC power adapter.
2)Press and hold the Power button down until the unit goes off.
3)Search for a pinhole on the backside of your laptop, insert a small paperclip in the battery reset pinhole, press and hold it down for 25 seconds. Then release the paperclip and try to turn on the unit and check.

Yes, I believe so because one is the oem battery and the new one has the same part number and power ratings as marked on oem battery.

So I can unplug my battery and the laptop turns on with ac adapter power. Then when it's booting up I can reconnect the battery but windows says that no battery is connected.
Also I verified voltage on the power pins of the battery as approx 11V

I'm not sure how my files would cause a battery issue.
I am hesitant to try this because I have this computer set up to run my CNC mill and other software that take a lot of setup time.
